KCCI weather in the 2nd Half
Chris brought this up in his article. Can they not do the weather at halftime? They always seem to play the weather when we go on a big run and it takes the crowd completely out of the game. Whoever is deciding when to do the weather needs to get a clue and understand what momentum is and stop killing it for us. So annoying.

I kind of hate the whole weather report thing, anyway.
If it's basketball season, we can all pretty much guarantee it will be cold on the way to the car. If it was snowing or raining on the way in to the game, it's probably going to be slick.
It's winter in Iowa. It shouldn't really surprise anyone who came out in the winter.

It's pre-s-c-r-i-p-t-ed so there is no way to anticipate what will be happening in the game at that time.
I agree, though. It should be moved to halftime. There really is never a good time to completely take the air out of the crowd.

They should just scrap it. All the "drive home forecast" does is cause people to grab their coats and go stand on the parquet. If you don't believe me, just watch next time.

The forecast was not even close this last game either. Said current conditions were 5 degrees, the wife laughed and said her Droid said it was currently 14 outside

They could bump it back to the under-4. There's always extra time after play/sing/play, and most of the crowd heads to the concourse at that timeout anyway.

I understand that but it's just not this season it's happening. It's been going on for years now.

Re: KCCI weather in the 2nd Half
When they sold the advertising the contract states it will be played at a certain time in the game (under 8 min. media timeout) therefore they are contractually obligated to do it. If you want to complain, talk to the marketing folks, they have space to sell to help pay for things like the video board and are doing their job. KCCI at anytime can ask for proof to show their advertising in being show in the time frame they paid for, and if it's not, they could go after the school.

Must.............complain...............about.............something.

Re: KCCI weather in the 2nd Half
It was strange how the video feed said it was 14 and then the info on the upper screen said it was 5 and felt like -6. If they're gonna get it wrong make people think it's warmer out!
