Thank God for Tyrus...
... I was glad to hear Fred say that. The guy deserves more minutes, as him and BuBu are probably playing the best at the guard spots right now. Other than Royce, our transfers have to play as advertised. They are obviously not doing that so far.
Go Tyrus!!

Re: Thank God for Tyrus...
Bubu and Tyrus play the hardest. They may not (but may not be far behind) have as much talent as the other guys, but at least you get a good effort - every time.

Re: Thank God for Tyrus...
Tyrus' steal n dunk at the end of ther game got the momentum in our favor and won it for us

Re: Thank God for Tyrus...
Thats not completely fair. I agree on Tyrus and Bubu, but Babb's been playing good too. Allen's game play is bipolar at best, scotty is great at SG but his defense kinda sucks. Ejim's good good defense but his offense has taken a vacation this season.

Re: Thank God for Tyrus...
I realized early on in the season that Tyrus was going to be my favorite player this year.
So far that realization has been substantiated.

I have posted before he should start because of his defensive intensity.
Scotty would be just as good coming off the bench.
It's important to set the tone at the start of each half.

Re: Thank God for Tyrus...
I love BuBu's effort but the fact that he's probably our best point guard tells it all about this team. He does hustle and push the ball, but because he's got a weak left hand he can't create or run the offense efficiently. Once he gets pressured by good Big 12 point guards I'm afraid it will only look worse. Going into the year I was hoping that between Scotty, Allen and Sledge we would have decent point guard play, but that hasn't happened. This team badly needs a Big 12 caliber point guard, and I don't think we have one.

Can Tyrus play point?

Re: Thank God for Tyrus...
You can rank the players in tier order of how you see their play so far
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

Re: Thank God for Tyrus...
I remember a few games back John or Eric mentioning that Tyrus plays so hard it limits him to a max of about 20 minutes per game. I can believe that.

Re: Thank God for Tyrus...
Ejim has really bad hands. He would get at least six more points a game if he could just catch the ball. Was he like that last year?
-
Re: Thank God for Tyrus...
Tyrus had more fieldgoals (5-6) than the 3 Chrises (4-18) put together in the game.
