Personally, I don't think the absence of Lutz is the reason this team is having it's struggles.

I would say the DG factor is a lot bigger than having Coach Lutz this year

Lutz helped out a lot in those areas...again JMO.

I think McGee has the same effect. I've posted a number of times before, and I'll continue to do so, that I think McGee should start. His hustle, and intensity on defense, will effect the team from the outset of games and at the start of the all-important second half. I think he's shown on court that he deserves to start and Fred will be sending a message that hustle and intensity get rewarded.
Who else other than White has consistently played better than him?

I'd take this bet. Me too, on the road against a team like Baylor or Missouri with a really long and active defense with our offense which consists of a lot of just standing around and spotting up, we could be in for some rough nights.

article ranks right up there with PG by committee.

Not having a pg probably effects things too, but instead of using our ability to shoot three's as a way to get better shots, we tend to use it as a cop-out.

Re: Williams Blog: Time for MBB to take things up a notch
Based on the entire season so far, I'm seeing a last or second last place finish in conference this season. Remember when people were commenting on how poor our OOC schedule was with the exception of Mich.? We should have at least a couple 30 point victories by now. I've yet to see an inspired team come out of the locker room to start the second half. I hated McDermott, but you have to admit his philosophy of a strong first 2 minutes of each half was taken to heart by his players. They came out fighting to start the 2nd half every game...they just happened to keel over after that.

We were up at half and Texas came out with like a 10-0 run and were pressing us. McDermott finally called a timeout after they went up 8 or so points, but at the point, the momentum had shifted.

I don't remember seeing us come out of halftime much better than comatose very often in those days.

When you do not play the fundementals part of the game well you will have problems. We are there and I am worried about when we start big twelve play.

Re: Williams Blog: Time for MBB to take things up a notch
I have seen Allen, Babb and Christopherson all get hot; however in my opinion Allen and Babb both tend to force shots. A little more patience and better shot selection should unquestionably improve that 3 point percentage. That and having McGee shoot a few more!

Hopefully TT sucks, or we are looking at 10/10 imo.
