How many B12 wins do we get?

After today, I'm thinking 6 or 7. I'd be thrilled to get to .500. I'm still holding out hope that it's a play to your competition thing.

This team is so frustrating to watch. I can't remember another ISU men's team go from looking so good for ten minutes to so lifeless and disinterested the next ten minutes... all in the same half.

Facing Texas, A&M, MU, KU, OSU to start conference play looks a lot different today than it did before the season started. Something needs to change big time.

If we keep producing the lifeless, disinterested stretches, maybe 3. Can't do that against better competition.
Since we keep producing those stretches, my guess is that 3 is going to be a tough # to achieve. It shouldn't be, but it looks like it.

We'll qualify for the Big 12 tournament, but just barely.

2. Yes, 2. Unless something changes. Something I like to call hustle and defense for a full game.

Pretty much every game we go through about a 10-15 min stretch where we just can't score and our offense becomes just dribbling around and chucking up 3's.

If that doesn't change, we'll be lucky to win more than 4 conference games. Only a small handful of games where we just shoot lights out from 3 will be winnable.

At their current level of play, 6 wins would be overachieving IMO.

For now I am in denial. I love hustle basketball and loved the brand that ISU had last year. It left such hi expectations for when CFH got the talent level up. Seemed like this year would be a step up and it still can be. The question is, will playing league flip on the switch? If not 4 wins. If the switch flips the sky is still the limit. Go Cyclones.

Unfortunately I agree with you. We will get our doors blown off in the Big 12 if we keep continuing to play like we have in the Non-Con.

Really disappointed in Freddy's coaching this year, and I have been and still am a big fan and supporter of the Mayor.

I think 6 wins. They play to the talent level of the other team so they will have a lot of close games but I don't see them getting much over 6 wins.

I think we all love Freddie but to date he hasn't shown much as far as being a game day coach. That show's in this teams lack of hustle and focus. I don't mind struggling against bad teams or even losing, as long as the effort and intensity is there but most of these guys don't seem to treat regular season games any different than the summer leagues. At this rate I only see 4 or 5 conference wins, I think we'll win a couple games we shouldn't but underachieve for the most part.

With the current approach, I could see something like 5-13. Could be fewer than that, if we don't get a mostly-full game against any of the weaker teams (which is looking like Tech & OSU).

ISU may be able to out-talent a team like Baylor if the shots are falling.

I thought I was playing it relatively tame with 10-8 or 9-9 projection I made in preseason.

6, we'll get hot from downtown in a few games against the middle of the pack, but we just aren't reliable enough on the defensive end and lack hustle/focus at times. This whole team needs to start trying to mimic Tyrus! He is just pure smart ball and energy. Keep it up McGee and Royce get well soon so you can start flexing your muscle again!
