Out of all the Big 12 schools
I can say that the majority of Mizzou fans will miss you guys the most. I'm looking forward to watching ISU football climb towards to the top of the conference with a great young coach in Paul Rhoads.
Hopefully your basketball program can return to the levels of success under Floyd/Eustachy. It looks like you guys are on your way.
Beat KU.

Re: Out of all the Big 12 schools
I personally don't have much feeling either way towards Missouri, but I will for sure miss playing them in basketball. Also, don't take into account things you read here as a indicator of the majority of what ISU fans are like, because you might get some nasty replies in this thread.
Anyway, I'm still not happy with how Mizzou left or the whiny fit they've thrown for the last few years, but I'll prefer to reminisce on the good times instead of the bad for now.

Re: Out of all the Big 12 schools
I really wish Missouri wasn't leaving, but once they decided to, I'd rather forget about them. Only 5 of the original Big 8 are left and 4 out of the Big 7.

Re: Out of all the Big 12 schools
Of all the four defectors, I think watching Mizzou/ISU at Hilton in basketball was the one meeting I was truly said about seeing for the last time. ISU/Mizzou on a cold winter night feels pretty traditional, and I don't hate them on a level I hate Nebraska where I could be "good riddance".
Not playing that game again just seems wrong, and other than Vandy/Tenn/Kentucky/Missou the other 10 SEC schools don't know basketball exists even if they are winning.

Good rivalry. It is a shame to see it come to an end.

Things just didn't feel the same for me this year without Colorado and Nebraska. It is a shame what happened to the once great Big 8 conference.

I won't miss Missouri in the least, they single handedly tried to bring down the big 12 (and almost succeeded).

Hell, it feels wrong that we now dont have games with anyone in our neighboring states now. In an ideal world a school like ours should be playing NU, Mizzou, Minnesota regularly (minnesota is one i'd really like to play more often in FB and BB).

I've been around for 35 years now, so I know what ISU fans are like. A few upset message board posters understandably frustrated over the game, or random allegations of bottles thrown (likely overblown if even true), won't change my opinion formed over decades.
ISU fans are great. The most classy in the Big 12. Best of luck in the future.

Re: Out of all the Big 12 schools
Real life Mizzou fans that I've met, who aren't SEC obsessed internet whackos, are good people. Had a great time in Columbia this year for football, and it was interesting how many of them were in favor of staying in the Big 12. They don't fit in the SEC, and they know it. They also know the Big 12 is a lucrative set up. I heard many people say the move was the product of an administration trying to save face after the Big 10 thing, and took their first option out of town, plus a lot of pressure from the jihadist fringe who wants to chant "SEC" while they get their heads kicked in.
Outside of that Mizzoulander tool, I'll miss Mizzou.
I'm looking forward to West Virginia coming (I think they're an upgrade on the football field, and their fanbase seems to care more), but Mizzou was a good piece to the Big 8/12 puzzle.
In 1984, I was hospitalized for approaching perfection. -

OU, TX.. yeah, they can get the 'tried to bring down the big 12' for two straight years of flirting with the PAC. TAMU can get it for never really stopping their talks with the SEC even after committing to the big 12 in 2010. But mizzou? They started looking for an exit plan when everything was going on with OU\TX, and didnt jump off the train when it was clear that OU\UT weren't going anywhere because the PAC's presidents didnt want them

Re: Out of all the Big 12 schools
In football I don't really care and I'll be able to get over Missouri being gone pretty quickly. But remembering that last night was the end in basketball was sad. There's been a lot of great games in the series...just isn't right that we aren't playing again.
I'll never forgive Missouri for what they nearly did to us and the other institutions that have stood with them for a century, but best of luck in the SEC. I'll be cheering against you just like I cheer against the rest of the conference .

I'll miss Columbia. The talent in that town is highly underrated.

Re: Out of all the Big 12 schools
I'll miss the basketball rivalry, or series, or whatever you want to call it. Playing Missouri was one I was always extra-excited for. It's a shame to see it end.
