We are sooooo close to doing some special things. Just not over the hump yet - but I do like how we can hang in there with just about anyone. I hope Fred can keep 'em focused and pick up the next couple of wins!

Up until we stopped making shots in the last 5 minutes, I think we were 10 points better. We had this one, but couldn't make shots late in the game.

The team made stupid shot selections. ME should never never never shot 3s.

This team deserved a better officiating crew. They would have had an excellent chance if it wasn't for that crew bailing KU out. That goes down as one of the worst officiated ISU games that I can remember.

Allen is bad and Railey shouldn't have played for that long..... I'm not a basketball expert though.

i agree about allen. he is the one transfer i do not like. he is out for himself and i am tired of seeing him jack up STUPID shots. he does not set up his teammates at all. 90 percent of the time if he gets the ball it will either be a turnover or a shot for himself. i would rather see mckee play at least he is a team player.

that said this i think is the best team we have played and had an 11 point lead with 11 minutes to go in the game. not to many teams go into the phogg and do that

We are actually a really good team, but I have a feeling this team will continue to let us down in all of the big games.

Hate blaming the refs in a game, but it sure does make it easier on a team when you know you can hack the shooter as much as you want and not worry about a foul.

Hate to say it, but Chris Allen really killed our moment with so many quick shots.


Tough loss, but we can still be a tourney team. Have to stay positive.

1) No basketball IQ on this team. None.

2) Shot selection is terrible....especially by Allen, and today also by Babb. And it appears it is not addressed at all.

3) There is no interior defense. If they try......they foul. This team gives up way too many points in the paint.

4) Royce free throw shooting HAS GOT TO IMPROVE! NOW!

5) Way too many turnovers.....and defensively, they do not force many.

6) Refs were bad........but that is going to happen.....especially on the road. ISU still shot as many free throws as KU, but were called for more fouls.

7) Once again.....this team can not put a 2nd half together to match the first half they put up. Not sure if that is the players, the coaching, or both.

8) Not that it probably made any difference....but ISU used its last time out with 3 and 1/2 minutes left in the game. Doesn't seem like very good planning.

I don't think the refs were very good, but ISU had stops 5 times in a row and did not gain any ground. It sounded like they had some good looks. Babb just had one of those days. Not sure the best shooters took the shots at the end, but you have to credit KU for good defense. Really too bad because KU gave them some chances to come back at the end.

We need to close games early a la Texas a&m, otherwise losing close games late will be the story of our season. Just ridiculous how bad we implode when adversity hits...

Terrible officiating. And even worse was the video feed to (or from?) Mediacom in Cedar Rapids.
1) In the last five minutes there was a noticeable latency between video and audio on the commercials, and I would believe during the game as well.
2) ALL commercial breaks had huge portions of dead air (probably a missing commercial or two...not that I'm complaining...but they should at least have a count down timer that shows when the official break is over).
3) The last thirty seconds of the game was blacked out by yet another section of dead air, followed by total video blow out and choppy audio. The commercial following for Mediacom had over-driven audio.

Very unprofessional.
