Actually, I think ISU can sweep Baylor.

I actually think this team could sweep several Big 12 teams this season (but wouldn't sweep all of them).

We know this: no sweeps vs. Missouri or Kansas.

I'm trying not to complain too much, because I wouldn't have guessed beating UT and A&M to start the season.

But you still have to beat a good team. At least once.

They have to get 3 or 4 upsets to make it happen. If they do make it they could make a nice run.

We can beat a lot of teams, but we have to win. We SHOULD have beaten both Missouri and Kansas. We could easily be 4-0, but we imploded both times. Still close games/scores, but yeah.

I think if we continue playing more and more as a team every game, and we pick up wins, we could make the tournament and actually be pretty dangerous. We have loads of potential, just need to continue improving as a TEAM.

I have us at 10-8, going 8-3 over the next 11 (with losses @Texas, @OU, and @Baylor) and then losing the last three. May not be good enough for the tournament. But if we can get Baylor at Hilton, or pick up another road win to get to 11, I'd feel pretty good about our chances.

The important thing is that we continue to improve. If we keep doing that, the wins we need will come.

The last time we made the tourney we were much worse off at this point in the year than we are right now. We have the talent, but need to pick things up to have a shot.

The '05 team didn't come alive until it was near-desperation time. And I like the way this team usually looks, compared to that team, in mid-January.

There's an 8-game stretch coming that could swing things one way or the other.

We just hung with a top 10 team on the road. We also hung with missouri last game. We just have to steal a few on the road and protect home court

We've done that before. It isn't really indictive of anything except that this team plays hard (as have many teams before them).

We will have to play perfect basketball to approach 11 wins in this conference. That is no letdowns against bad teams (see this Wednesday for a land mine waiting for us).

Have we proved that we are a team that will respond and not have any letdowns? ****, the entire pre-season was one giant letdown.
