Mark it down now all. Clyburn and Lucious will be the starting backcourt next year and will average a combined 35 points NOT taking bad shots.
The FUTURE is bright and that starts this season. Support this team. I HIGHLY doubt Lucious averages over 10 ppg.

Re: RW: "We had them beat"
I think Oklahoma State is in for a beating next Wednesday. I feel sorry for them.

Re: RW: "We had them beat"
I can see this going two ways.
1. The team believes in themselves and comes out for the next 3 games and plays just as hard and wins.
2. The team comes out and thinks they are good enough to sleepwalk through the next 3 games and losses at least 1 probably 2 that they should win.
In the past, (including last year), #2 would happen. We'll see what happens Wednesday night.
One thing that I like about Royce the last few games is that I sense a leader being born. He might not know how to channel that all of the time (he is just a sophmore), but I think he is trying to be a leader.

Re: RW: "We had them beat"
I like his passion, now take it out on the rest of the big 12 Royce.

Re: RW: "We had them beat"
I think the team grew up a lot last game, figuratively speaking. Lack of big point guard play makes it extremely difficult to put away top 10 teams who do. Kansas has only lost 7 times at home in the last 9 years. I appreciate Royce's sentiment, but the team needs to make FTs (and not rely on Ejim to make 3's at the end) if they expect to pull out big games.

Re: RW: "We had them beat"
Let's not forget this is essentially Royce's Freshman year....so yeah, sometimes he may not make the exact right comments to the media.
After reading his comments, and realizing how much of a leader he is for this team, I hope he realizes how close they were to winning those 2 games, what that would have meant for this team, and what needs to be corrected. Hopefully he is realizing it takes 40 full minutes of hard work to win in the Big 12 and he can get that through to his teammates.

Re: RW: "We had them beat"
Royce's comments are fine by me.

Sorry RW, you don't have anyone beat until the final buzzer. You don't get credit for being ahead in the middle of a game.
That said, good work playing them tough.
This is exactly the attitude I want our best player to have.

Hopefully he, the coaches and the other players will take something from these losses that will make them a team that can finish a game. To be fair, we had OSU beat before we let them pull away and win by 30.

Not a fan of how CA brought up the refs in his interview. Players should leave officiating out of comments; just makes it sound like sour grapes. Well, when you talk about the other team, when talking about going into KU's arena, for any team that means talking about the refs that are always with them. Its always beyond ridiculous.

All CA was doing was talking about his opponents. The refs just happen to be an opponent for any team playing KU. 8 on 5, that's fair.

And to be fair.........your football team had us beat until your front four realized they were just too fat and out of shape to chase Steele Jantz the entire game.

Re: RW: "We had them beat"
I have absolutely no problem with a player actually speaking honestly what they believe. In general, it's better than the bland "oh, they're a good team" comments that mean nothing. In this case, we should have won those two games, and he's saying so.
Glad he said it. I love candor.

Re: RW: "We had them beat"
This thread is a joke right? Tell me where he said something that wasn't true (other than KU's rank)
