Sorry RW, you don't have anyone beat until the final buzzer. You don't get credit for being ahead in the middle of a game.

You earn rankings and W's based on the final score, not halftime or with 10 min left to go.
Hopefully they use the fact that they were playing with Mizzou and KU as motivation, but do not for a second think that since they were leading much of the way, that they are as good or better.
I am sure that RW knows that they did not beat MU or KU. After all, he isn't a Hawk fan. I am sure he is just frustrated, like the rest of us, in the fact that they were in control of both these games and let them get away. Hopefully he, the coaches and the other players will take something from these losses that will make them a team that can finish a game.

This has been part of the prob all along. Immaturity and Playing to level of competition. They came to play the #9 and #10 teams but when said teams sucked it up for a while, our team laid off and couldnt recover in time.

No, comment like that come from players that know they were good enough to win, but fail to exicute in the end. I have no problem with player being upset when they loose games like this.
I think it shows that RW is stepping into a strong leadership role.
He blamed the team for the loss and recognized that they are on the same level as KU and MU. As a leader, RW needs to shift the focus of these losses on making the team better. Personally, I love the mentality of our players thinking and knowing they can compete with anyone.
Hey I saw him sweat alot yesterday... LAY OFF!!!
He played a great game.... He couldn't help it that Babb had 0 points. CA throws up horrible shots within 3 seconds crossing the half court line. That the team forgot how to play defense the entire second half.
What he could learn is how to stay out of foul trouble... Then maybe we will beat kansas and missouri.
Outside of saying we are "no. 11", I don't have a problem with what he said. After a loss, criticism is acute, and as fans we could find something wrong with just about anything that comes out of a player's mouth. I'm not real surprised with the questionable comments from players after this one - especially Royce. He got pretty frustrated in the second half yesterday.
I'm not condemning the guy based on one comment and he certainly is our best player. But I still feel like this is a very immature thing to say. Now granted, it's very easy to take words on paper out of context.Quote:

Very interesting comments. I could see his passion after the timeout and he was ****** off... I like seeing his emotions come out now as he was emotionless the entire non conf.
I believe this team will hang with anyone we play. I just want to see us start to finish some of the good teams off. We get KU in 2 weeks at home, and I know all our guys will have that game circled for redemption.
