That said, while i dont get offended at the 'you suck' i wish it was just 5 claps. I prefer the simple 'we're giving you the bare minimum of respect, and that's it'. (i also dont like that we started playing music over their intros this year)

The feminist part of that angers me. There is no girl that could guard Royce White. Just because the elite womens basketball players could beat average joe schmoes at basketball, doesn't mean they could take elite college basketball players.

Also TL;DR for the article: Student section says "you suck", someone said "dont let the girl guard Royce White", and two Mizzou players made kissy face gestures and other "sexual" gestures at girls in CA.

Does she realize that we don't actually think the player "sucks"? If Harrison Barnes came to Ames he would get the same chant. It's all part of the fun of sports..this is Division 1 basketball, not Junior High. And, girls do have weirder form than most guys do.

I would say 80% of girls are not competitive... You have to have a competitive gene to understand why the taunting and mean things are done for both sides of ISU and Mizzou. It's trash talk... The greatest athletes in the world do it... Why? Because it gives them a psychological edge.
