As to Colorado, I believe the home team has control if it falls to third tier, and I seem to recall that they denied us the ability to broadcast the games.

If the visiting team wants to do its own third-tier production, the home team can't say no.

I don't think anyone is jealous. Rational people think a network nobody can watch is stupid. If ESPN gave ISU 500 gazillion dollars to form a Cyclone Network, and the result was we couldn't watch ISU Big 12 basketball on TV for the first time in 40 years, I think ISU fans would still not be thrilled about it.

I'm sure Cyclone, KU, KSU, WVU, OU, OSU, TTech, Baylor and TCU fans would gladly bend over to pay Texas to watch their teams if it was EVEN POSSIBLE.

I agree, from a fan's perspective anyway. Even Texas fans hate the LHN because they can't watch their games. Not because they would have to pay extra to get LHN, but because it isn't available for them to purchase even within the state of Texas. The school administration might be happy, and other administrations might be jealous but if the fans can't watch the games I don't think it will last.

Yeah, I read it and it actually makes me a lot madder than if I just found out it was blocked by the LHN. If they need to raise the rates, I'm fine with that, but there is a reason I'm paying for the Clonezone and it's not to be told that we are turning down games we could put up.

Yep. I would pony up the money to watch this game, if it were at all possible. It appears the only way I can pay to watch this game is if I buy a plane ticket.

Without the LHN, Nebraska never leaves, everyone stays put. Texas wasnt going to go unless nebraska did, initially. Nebraska said 'for us to stay, we need a full media rights commitment from everyone (so a network could be put together)'. Texas said no, nebraska left, and doomsday almost happened.
