Scheduling
Not to make excuses for the loss last night, but it really seems like ISU got the short end of the deal on scheduling by playing Texas Tech and Texas back to back on the road on a Saturday/Tuesday. We get the same thing when we play Oklahoma and Oklahoma State on the road. Looking through other teams in the Big 12, I see a few teams that have similar situations this season, only Tech does it twice and it seems like the other teams at least have one of those road games somewhat close to home. Back to back road games on a Sat/Tues - Baylor played Tech and KSU
- ISU played Tech and Texas & plays OU and OSU
- KSU plays Baylor/Missouri
- OSU plays A&M and Tech
- A&M plays ISU and Tech
- Tech played A&M and OU & plays Texas and KSU
I agree with what ISU did to bring them back to Ames and try to keep them in somewhat of a normal routine, but that is still a quick turnaround. It would be nice to get those second games on Wednesday for those situation, or at least mix in other teams closer to Ames when we have to play back to back road games.

Re: Scheduling
I don't understand playing Texas on the road within weeks of playing them at home. Same with KU. Big 12 b-ball schedule people spent about 15 minutes putting it together.

Re: Scheduling
b12 uses a complex computer algorithm to do scheduling - big12sports.com wrote about this last year. the guy who created it? ISU grad.

Re: Scheduling
Maybe the team should have stayed in Texas after the Texas Tech game.
