Agree it didn't help, but as I understand it, the team charters a plane for both Texas trips. The streamlines travel and should negate any of the lethargy that extended, commercial flying with connections, etc.

The team got to spend 2 nights in their own beds between the games. Wanted to keep them in as normal of a routine as possible. Remember what happened last year between the Okie State game and Missouri game when we didn't come home in between?

Missing class and 2 or 3 more nights of hotel rooms I'd guess. The flight is what, an hour and a half? I can't imagine a short flight like that in the same time zone makes a real difference.
