I noticed us getting some flack for this so here's a stat I haven't seen yet thrown out that will surprise you guys.

Iowa State is the best team after calling a timeout...we average 1.14 points per play after calling a timeout and scoring percentage.

Seriously, you could see last year that Hoiberg did the talking when they brought the team together, and he doesn't even huddle with coaches on this quick timeouts (i.e. the ones where he's ticked off).

Yup and that is all coaching. These set plays out of timeouts is something that Bill on WBB side has had a reputation for being able to do for years.

Would love to see some of those today and have the announcers note that "ISU is leading the nation in this. Fred can really coach.".

Haha! I noticed this A LOT last year, too. More than just time-outs last season, I think we might have had the biggest differential between first and second half performance; the team almost always came out rocking in the second half.
