I now strongly dislike Doug Gottlieb. Almost lost to "Oklahoma State" why does that matter? We didn't lose like Missouri did. The Drake loss, that was our 2nd true game together as a team. Texas a bad loss? They played well against Kansas and Baylor. I'm not saying we will make the Tourny but I think we have a great chance. Gottlieb on the otherhand must have something against us.

So weird, the guy used to love ISU, now he just rags on us whenever he can? I wonder what made him have the change of heart.

Yeah, if you're going to count 'almost losts' you should be counting 'almost won' games too... which (depending how you count an 'almost won') could cover a good number of our losses.

This is the least talented Kansas team in forever.

Kansas made a million mistakes.

Iowa State just enough to squeak by this terrible performance by Kansas.

For those who think Gottlieb doesn't know the Big 12, it's quite the opposite...he's too close to it. He actually pays too much attention to the Big 12 and does not watch other major conferences critically enough.

Doug knows what he is talking about. That being said, he seems unusually negative towards Iowa State. Who the hell cares that we almost lost to OSU.....Missouri DID lose to them.

I think we all know that we will have to win a lot of tough games to get to the NCAA. We all know that losses to Drake and UNI will hurt us.

But Doug is being pretty stupid. We've beaten 2 of the bottom feeders on the road (look at A&M though, they are getting better). We've only lost 1 at home. We played Kansas tough on the road.

My personal feeling is that Doug still really hates the transfer idea (think of how Matt P would react if he was still in this market).

I think 10 wins in conference and 1 tournament win probably puts us in the NCAA. That will be hard to do, but not impossible.

11 or 12 would really doable. OU twice, aTm and Tech at home, OSU on the road, and either Baylor or KSU at home would be 12...I still think that would put us 4th in the B12, but that should be plenty. If we get there, we might not even need to win a conference tourny.

I agree. However, we would be right there giving them crap if they waffled back and forth on predictions as well. We have guaranteed splits against 5 of the 9 Big 12 teams we play. If we can at least split with every team (mizzou will be tough) and get a couple sweeps that puts us at 11-7 and in the dance.
