What? We had a very typical/average game against KU. We shot 44.4% (season average: 44.9%) and hit 41.2% on our 3s (Season average 37.6%). I'd say we shot the ball pretty well against KU.
I would also add we shot 73.5% from the line or hit 24 free throws. That was the real difference maker in the game.
To be fair, it's probably not that tough to own Vitale. The guy can barely form a sentence.
As I've said before, Twitter was a godsend for that idiot. He just tweets exactly how he talks and everyone thinks he abbreviated it to fit in the character limit so they give him a pass on grammar and coherency. It's a match made in heaven for him.
His handle should be ID10T.
"There are five real good recruits in the state. We got three of them. One couldn’t get into school, and the other went to (the University of) Iowa...which is about the same thing." - Coach Johnny Orr

I would say we shot very average, at least for this team for this season.
Also we only hit 7 threes, 2.5 below our average per game. That was made up for by the number of times we got to the foul line and making a decent percentage there.
Iowa State has won three in a row, and is one of the top 25 offensive teams in the country. The Cyclones shoot it well, but don't get second shots. With wins over Kansas, Kansas State and Texas, the Cyclones are headed toward the NCAA tournament.

Fixed.
Yeah it would be nice to get more O boards, but I'm more concerned about the ones we give up on the other end. If we would have taken care of the defensive boards the OU game wouldn't have even been close.
The Oklahoma game was bad, but I believe going into that game we were in the top couple teams in the conference in defensive rebounding. I remember hearing we were #1 headed into the KSU game.
