Re: Anybody have a clip of the Hoiberg "shove"
I would have done it a lonnng time ago if I were Fred. Glad he did it.
Side note, I have noticed Fred seems more comfortable on the sidelines this year. More vocal towards the players and refs. Good to see.

Of course, you may hear that and think that I said Fred went all Woody Hayes on CA. I apologize for being a sissy. But whinny? What am I, a horse? No, not a horse. According to some Hawk people i know... CA should press charges. What the hell are they talking about?
Thanks in advance if anybody has the clip YouTubed.... If Iowa fans cared this much about the co-eds that attend the UofI as they do about CFH in this 'event', not much would have happened the last 13 years.

It made McGee stop dead in his tracks as he was walking by, and Royce was watching as well. Three for the price of one.

Re: Anybody have a clip of the Hoiberg "shove"
I mentioned to Mrs. Velo that there were a few people that thought Fred was out of line from a little shove in the game. She hadn't seen all of the game. So I found it on the TiVo and told her to take a look at it. I showed it to her (before and after the commercial break) and she looked at me and said, "was that it?" When I told her it was she just said "whatever", and left the room shaking her head. She was mumbling something about some people being a little ridiculous.
Fred had his hand on CA's chest the whole time he was talking to him. When he was done talking he pushed him away to sit on the bench. It wasn't like he hunted him down to chuck him in the chest. I think some people are either too sensitive or are seeing what they want to see. Just about everyone who has ever played football has been yanked around by their coach by their facemask. I don't know how this is any different, maybe just not as violent.
During the game I was glad that Fred got in CA's face after that stupid play. It was stupid in any case, but especially stupid when you heard the guys talk about the game plan after the game. It didn't fit in any way shape or form. Not to mention sulking rather than getting after the play.

Unless we have a video clip this thread is completely pointless. By the way, Cybyassociation has been watching way too much Oprah/Dr. Phil.

I didn't have a problem with what either Fred or Fran did. The only people on either side making a big deal about either one are just engaging in petty "rivalry" BS.

Re: Anybody have a clip of the Hoiberg "shove"
Here's my take on it. If Hawk fans want to make a big deal about it, so what. Let them waste their breath talking about the Cyclones. It gives them something to talk about rather than think about their own team. If they truly feel bad for Chris Allen then they can pool their money together and get him a gift basket with a teddy bear.

If thats "assault" than they're 124 assaults in a 40 minute basketball game. Fred hand checked him.
“One day we’ll be in here celebrating a Big 12 championship,” Rhoads said. “That I can promise you.”
