Great Win, Still Work To Be Done
Hopefully coach Hoiberg let them celebrate the Kansas win last night, and told them to get back to being focused as soon as they wake up Sunday morning. I would feel alot comfortable if we win 2 of the next 3. K-State is a good team that was previously ranked and will be coming after a loss. The next two games are on the road and we have a brutal 3 game schedule at the end of the season.
The big picture is getting the team to play the best possible basketball that they are capable of playing. We had 19 turnovers way to many to go along with 9 missed freethrows.
Improvement: CA which he has taken his fair share of ill-advised (can't be the person he was as a 2-guard with freedom to shoot when he feels like it his whole life) shots. Not the PG that Garrett was in able to setup teammates but does have a decent handle and is capable of being a good shooter. He has had good games and create his own shot. Royce Freethrows. Gibson gets comfortable and better everygame. Ejim being ready for Royce's pass with hands in position to make the play. Babb has struggled the last 4 games, hopefully his big 3 carries over the rest of the season.
Nice to see:Booker playing great defense, making the three, boarding and feeling comfortable being a contributer. McGee flatout helps us in all areas of the game when he is in.
Let's get to the games fans and support our team, no Let up come Tuesday night versus K-State.
Re: Great Win, Still Work To Be Done
Yeah, a lot to work on. I don't think we play particularly well until the last 5 minutes of the game, but granted it is Kansas. As much as people want to call them overrated, they are still a very good basketball team and definitely top 15 when they're on their game.
19 turnovers and we still won by almost double digits. Just imagine what it'll be like when we have less than 5 turnovers a game....we could beat many, many teams. Long way to get there, but it's definitely possible. I think every game we mostly get more and more like a team.
