ISU getting lots of love on KC radio
Listening off and on today on 810 WHB and consensus is they are impressed with what Fred has done and state that the Big 12 needs ISU to be good. Just said they wouldn't be suprised if Fred builds a "monster program".

Makes you wonder what direction the other teams are headed.
Like with Baylor be able to keep pulling in 4 and 5 star players and will Tech become the bottom feeder of the Big XII.

I was also listening as well. I also liked how they mentioned after the win Hoiberg was calm and cool and acted "like he had been there." They said they bet Hoiberg doesnt want to see our fans storm the court. I tend to agree, we need to act like its no big deal.

Lon will have Oklahoma back at some point too.
Big 12 is going to become even more of a meat grinder than it already is.

First win against Kansas in 14 games deserves a court storm, next year it shouldn't.

TCU will become the bottom feeder

For basketball, thats something where we have the best chance of shining (though its not impossible in football, its just a lot more difficult). Even if we never got beyond mediocre football, it helps the conference to say 'we've got these teams that are great in football, and these teams that are great in basketball... everyone brings something great to the table' (whereas, after the last several years, there's not much we've had to show for ourselves)

From here on out, there is no court storming unless it is an extremely unique situation. I really can't think of one that we would actually encounter.
However, it was the first home win vs a top 5 opponent in at least 6 years against our biggest Big 12 rival in a game that we needed to give us a much better shot to get in the NCAA tourney. There aren't many regular season games that can be that important. You can't be above storming the court until you get that first huge win that allows you that mindset.
"He is the toughest I have ever been around, physically and mentally," Burnham said. "You can beat him down but you’re not going to beat him out. He’s got the mindset of, ‘If you’re going to get me out of this game, you’re going to have to kill me.’ That’s about where he is."

Re: ISU getting lots of love on KC radio
My take on storming the court is this: Do it. Just this once. This crap about "Act like you've been there before" is just that, crap. The students haven't been there before. There was a time when we won games like this on a consistent basis. These students haven't been a part of that. They were 4 or 5 years old.
Now that that they've done it, the next time around I would expect them to "Act like they've been there before."

Re: ISU getting lots of love on KC radio
Fred was high-fiving students as they ran on the court. He seemed amused.
I agree though - if we beat them, next year, we shouldn't storm. This year was fine.
