Next week is huge!!!
If ISU goes to Waco and beats the bears at there house and ISU goes home and takes care of business against Oklahoma i think we move from a bubble team to an at large bid. Im drinking alot of cool aid now, probably too much but i think with two wins next week we will also be ranked and possibly move up to a better seed around maybe 6 or 7. If we did win those games that would put us at:
20-7 overall
10-4 conference (3rd place by ourselves)
Big wins: Kansas, KSU, Texas, OU and @OU, @Baylor
Just my opinion

Re: Next week is huge!!!
Beating OU do not qualify as "big wins".

Re: Next week is huge!!!
Right now, it's about maintaining momentum. Every win is big. Baylor is a huge opportunity, but not absolutely crucial.

I don't think that qualifies as a "big" win or a "key" win or whatever else you want to call it. Being "not horrible" isn't much of a standard.

Re: Next week is huge!!!
Win against Oklahoma, Tech, and K-State and one Big XII Tournament game and we're in, I think. If we also go 1-1 with Baylor or get a win against Missouri I think we get a pretty decent seed.

Re: Next week is huge!!!
IF we win out at home we make the tournament.

Re: Next week is huge!!!
4th place teams in the B12 are not bubble teams IMO

Also, it seemed to me the OP was talking about "key wins" from a selection committee perspective.

Also, it seemed to me the OP was talking about "key wins" from a selection committee perspective. Like I said, I don't disagree with the assertion that OU isn't as important a win this week as Baylor would be. But OU has the potential of being a huge win psychologically for the team and this fan base.
Otherwise, I agree - OU probably isn't that important in the eyes of the committee outside of taking care of business in the conference.

Re: Next week is huge!!!
I really think we're in good shape without regard to having to win in Waco.Baylor is 8-4 for a reason. I just hope if we have a good effort there aren't too many CFers jumping off buildings. We need to win our home games and if we get one on the road thats a plus.

I think I tend to subscribe to this perspective. Cyclone fans seem to be a lot more uncertain about our tourney status than those outside the program (and that's completely understandable!)
