For the record, Elston Turner only scored 2 points with Babb in the game. He was averaging 14.5 coming in. Oh...and the 2 points with Babb in the game? Two made free throws.
I think Ejim has a huge impact without scoring. But that impact is diminished by going 1-8 and hoisting up threes. He's made some big threes this year for sure, but he's shooting 23% on the season. His shot selection has to be consistently better. He's a great rebounder and a good defender. That should be his role. We have enough guys who can score.
If Melvin starts hitting those, then other teams better be afraid, because then there would be no one to sag off of. He did have a great game, and a couple of those rebounds weren't drop-in-your-lap rebounds. They were going and getting the damn ball rebounds, and I love it.
Melvin will hit those next year. Just part of the growing process.
Well then he can stop shooting them until next year. 23% is a pretty terrible percentage to be shooting two threes per game like he is.
