Going to Waco for the Game

A couple of buddies and I just decided that we are going to Waco for the game later today. Anyone have any advice? We're going to try to get to Waco by 4:30-5:00 pm. Where should we park? Will there be people selling tickets outside the arena?

Is there anything to do in Waco on a Monday night? Is there a bar scene somewhere? We'll probably get a hotel for the night and then head up to Dallas/Forth Worth for a couple days.

I've been through Waco a couple times, but never to Baylor's campus or any of their sporting venues.

Can't wait to root on the Cyclones in person for the first time this year!! :cool:

Another option for after the game, would be to skip town altogether and just go straight to Dallas/Fort Worth to party since it's a Monday night and it's... Waco.

It has been about 4 years since I have been through there, but the college was located in the "bad" part of Waco.

Also the Denny's that is on the access road off of I 35, near campus had the greasiest food of any Denny's I have ever eaten at.

Other than that, the arena is like a concrete bunker, and there are a lot of pretty girls.

I'd say you're better off beating yourself in the face with a hammer than going to Waco.

My Husker buddy and I decided to do this at the last minute for the ISU- NU game in 09 and had great time. Hung out in Omaha during the day, and went to the game that night. It stunk that the Cyclones lost but we still had fun.

It was funny because I was the only one in my entire section wearing Cyclone gear and. I was the one cheering the loudest of anyone... I was getting a lot of "looks"...
