Is there really nobody better? KU has the tools if they're all firing, but I feel like the wheels could fall off for Mizzou at any time despite their incredible record and accomplishments.
I'm a Big 12 homer and I have a hard time taking either of those teams to the final four even as #1 seeds.

Re: new bracketology
A win at Baylor tonight I think would give outsiders a new outlook on this team.

Re: new bracketology
I just love staying ahead of the last 4 in group.

while they wont realize that they havent lost to anyone besides KU and MU.

Re: new bracketology
Ugh we need to be in the 8-9 game to play in Omaha? And if Kansas and Missouri stay number ones we will have no shot of playing there.

They are having a nice year, but they don't belong on the college football mount rushmore like those other programs. If we win at the level they have this year, we would get plenty of national attention too.

Re: new bracketology
I'm surprised a loss at Okie State knocked us so much in the public eye.....Maybe because they don't have a great record. Need a huge win tonight.

The basketball experts only focus on top 10 teams and then any other "elite" or big name programs that are having a mediocre year. Other then that they don't know much about anybody else.

The same Okie State team that beat Mizzou, should have beat Baylor, and was down 51-24 at the half in Lawrence against KU only to outscore them 42-30 in the second half and make it respectable.

I don't think first/second round locations are guaranteed certain seeds...I think that is all determined after the field is set based off a number of criteria, the most important being regional factors. Mizzou could just as easily end up in Nashville as they could Omaha.

Re: new bracketology
Lunardi is insanely overrated.
Having Belmont as a bubble team? Really?
Or having UNLV and UNC in the same region when the committee tries to prevent regular season matchups...good one Lunardi.
There's a reason he's the 27th most accurate bracketologist out there..there are way better out there.

Re: new bracketology
I'd much rather be a 10 seed than an 8/9 seed, plus (I know this is nowhere near what it will be) but Murray State then Ohio State could be two very winnable games.
