Anyone remember how at first Fizer was bad at the line. Then Floyd or LE pointed out to him how many more points per game he would have if he was better at free throws, it was after hie fr or so year. He wasn't a bad free throw shooter after this. Can the same happen with White?

Yes, I think so. Perhaps if we let coach fred know about this he might say something to Royce and then our problems will be solved. Ifonly we had told Royce hed average more points at the beginning of the season, he would be shooting 90% if only we had thought of it sooner....dangit.
Anyone have freds phone#? if not, maybe we can email jp. Hopefully before tonights game fingerscrossed.
I actually think its about focus and concentration as much as repetition.
And yes, I expect White to shoot over 65% next year.
Also, Fizer was never anywhere as bad as White. He shot 61% his freshman year and 73% the next two.
EDIT: One more stat, White actually shoots FTs at a much higher rate (how often he gets to the line) than Fizer did. Fizer's FT rate was always in the 40's, while White's is up over 65. Which means White is leaving many more points on the table than Fizer did.

I think focus and concentration will come with repetition.
I don't think something as vain as "You'll score more points for you box score stats!" will help White. Fizer and White are both incredible players. But have you see how unselfish White has played these past few games?
He has 23 points and 21 assists since the OU game. He cares about helping the team win and if that means passing the ball and not taking shots, he is ready for that roll. That was not really Fizer's MO from how I remember him.
