Big 12 Tourney Seeding

Any thoughts on seeding. I was hoping for the 3 seed, easier game for me to make as far as work goes. However after the results of last nights games, I think that a 4 or 5 seed is much more likely and a Thursday at 11:30 am game. I am not complaining, if at the beginning of the year someone would have said you can have 4th in the BIG 12 right now, I would have signed up especially after the last 5-6 years. Tough matchup with what I believe will be a maturing Texas team. Will need some of that Hilton South help.

I figure we'll be playing Texas or KSU, we'll be 4th or 5th seed.

Regardless, it won't be a cakewalk for us to win our first game. We'll probably be matched up with K-State, Texas or best case Okie State. OSU is more dangerous than they appear. Texas is playing much better then they did when we beat them in Hilton. K-State isn't playing that well right now, but they do have a lot of depth and big bodies, so that game could go either way as well.

4 looks right, but 3 is still roughly possible.

K-State has @BU, @Mizz, vs ISU, @ATM, vs OSU - probably go 2-3, finish 8-10
Texas has @OU, @OSU, vs BU, @TT, vs OU, @ KU - probably go 3-3, finish 9-9
ISU has vs OU, vs TT, @KSU, @Mizz, vs BU - probably go 2-3, maybe 3-2, finish 10-8/11-7

ISU would be 4, Texas would be 5, and KSU would be 6.

I think we most likely will see Texas in the first round.

I don't see us dropping below 4th. In fact, I'm not so sure that moving up to 3rd isn't still entirely possible. We'd need to get our act together and beat Baylor at home, probably need to win at K-State, and hopefully catch some breaks with how Baylor plays out the rest of their schedule, but it's not impossible.

I don't see any way ISU is not the 4 seed, and I see it being against K-State, assuming they win their remaining home games against us and Okie State and assuming Texas loses tonight at OU. Also, after last night, I think KU will probably win the conference and take the 1 seed, and I would much rather face them in the second round than Mizzou. So, Im happy that we are not in the 3/6 game.

I would rather play Texas again opposed to KState

This sums it up pretty well. That Texas @ OU game tonight will probably end up having a lot of implications on who we play in the first round. If Texas wins, we will probably play Texas, if OU wins, it will probably be KSU.

I wouldn't mind playing KSU again. My general impression of K State- I'm not impressed at all with their offense. I think we really handled them well once we figured out that no fouls were going to be called that didn't result in permanent injury. We match up well with Texas if we can find the answer to Brown.

I'm still hopeful for a 3 seed, but 4 is probably most likely.

I want to play the team that Royce had the best game against. When Royce is playing well, it opens a lot more options for the team and we don't have to rely on 3's.
