Re: Percy "Motown" Gibson
He also defends the basket well on D.
Re: Percy "Motown" Gibson
Percy may never get an assist in his ISU career :)

Has a chance to be a really good one here.
I think he kind of reminds me of Sammy Hill.
Re: Percy "Motown" Gibson
I'm really happy he's here because he's really the only guy who gets post position and tries to score with his back to the basket. I could not be more excited about the kid. Great size and ability. I am excited to see him next year with a year in the weight room and some more time with the coaches.

I know you were joking, but it made me look. Percy has 3 assists so far this season. Basketball | NCAA | Player Stats - Percy Gibson - Iowa State Cyclones - washingtonpost.com
Re: Percy "Motown" Gibson
Will easily continue to grow on the Cyclone fan favorite list if he keeps it up. IMO, he always makes the most of his minutes. We have a lot of guys stepping up and playing their best ball at the perfect time.

His ears are way too small.
Re: Percy "Motown" Gibson
We should have five post players who are capable next year in White, Ejim, Gibson, Booker, and Niang. Who's the odd man out of that group.
Re: Percy "Motown" Gibson
I loved Godfrey's mentality when he played here but I'm really excited to watch Percy develop here. This year, I think he's a really good 15 minutes/game guy. I can't wait to see him get into the mix even more next year.
It's a nice feeling to know that when Fred puts in a Freshman, it's not a "oh crap" feeling from the crowd, it's a "Percy, hell yeah" felling.

it would be interesting to have them all on the floor at the same time
1. White
2. Ejim
3. Niang
4. Booker
5. Gibson
just a thought to create mismatches for a few possessions in a game next season

Love Sammy Hill, but let's dream a little and say Sam Perkins.

White and Booker won't transfer since they already transferred in.
Ejim is growing really nice here.
Gibson will get his minutes as will Niang.
Are you forgetting about Clyburn too?
It seems like Fred can play the 6'7"ish forwards vs the old standard of a 7' center and two forwards.

isn't Clyburn more of a wing player? Like a big 2 or small 3?

He's definitely a wing, but in no way is he a small 3. He's 6'7". I think he could play the 4 in Fred's system, but he probably won't have to.

Plus one of the most important things we've learned this year with Fred's system.
Labeling players by position really matters none.
