Labeling players by position really matters none. good point. every player really has a range of 2-3 spots they can play, gives us a huge advantage i think, helps us match up against many different teams.

Re: Percy "Motown" Gibson
I was talking more about playing time, not transferring. I definitely see Clyburn as a perimeter player.

Re: Percy "Motown" Gibson
If you get a chance go to cyclones.com if you belong and watch the post game interview with Gibson and Scotty. Gibson is as polished as a senior in how he handled the questions. Nice job mom!!

Really funny exchange between him and Hoiberg on scoring 1,000 and Fred says something about you need 963 more to catch up with me. Pretty sure that made the Register article.

just a thought to create mismatches for a few possessions in a game next season I would press the hell out of us if we went with this line up.

Re: Percy "Motown" Gibson
Percy is always looking to score. He is a shoot first, shoot second, pass third type of player

Re: Percy "Motown" Gibson
Id say Motown is the best finisher on the team right now when he has it around the bucket, agree though that he needs to work on the right hand.

Maybe you're finally warming up to him a bit!

Question would be perimeter defense. Sub in Clyburn for Booker and you have some pretty good mis-matches.

Re: Percy "Motown" Gibson
I like the way Gibson looks to score and as long as he shoots such a great percentage, who can complain. But he's more than a scorer as he's quick on the boards and can also block shots. His all around game might be the best for a freshman big man since Homan, but he's farther along than Homan was as a freshman by quite a bit on offense. Sure he needs to work on his strength to hold his own inside, but he's got a big athletic body to work with, and plenty of time to develop into a very good big man. He's already pretty good.

Re: Percy "Motown" Gibson
You can't coach or teach a great touch around the basket....Gibson has a great touch. That's what's most impressive and encouraging with him.
