In another thread someone said there were 3500 bb tickets sold for students. This would fill a little over a fourth of hilton. CA full would probably be 50% area if 3500 is right. I would say ther would be a little shy of 2k of seats all the way up.

I'll have to remember this next year and just show up and go to the game!

They scan and mark their hands before they just let them in. Probably won't work.

So ISU makes students pay for CA now if they want basketball tickets. CA was a $35 option back in the day (lame).

All about perception dude. Look how easy it is to go to football games and look at how much more dificult and (less cool) basketball makes it. Plus freshman parents always buy the package tickets before little Billy's first year at ISU and get him in CA. Just makes it hard for regular students go to the games.

There are enough student organizations on ISU's campus CA just needs to go.

Just let them go to the game wearing what ever they want and sit in the assigned student scetion. CA is composed of all freshman dudes anways what upper classman wants to go to the lame section with a bunch of freshman dudes?

It is not considered cool to be in CA so get ride of it so kids stop associating CA with student section at basketball games.

    End of Story
You can pick register online and pick it up at the first game. If students are too lazy to do that they don't deserve to sit close. And the freshmen are probably the group with the lowest percentage of attendance since they all buy cy's pass, then don't go to lots of the games.

Doesn't cost anything. Included in the $125 for season tickets this year as opposed to $155 last year.

And regular students had a month before Billy could get tickets. I think I renewed mine in April of last year? Orientation doesn't start until late May.

I believe all students are created equal!!!

They should all have the right to sit in the students section with purchase of a ticket and not to be sent to the back of a arena based only on the color of their shirt!!!!

This is rediculious listen to you CA supporters!!!!

I have a feeling the Baylor game will be packed. I also think the AD needs to utilize their e-mail more along with CA. You have everyone's contact information, send them an e-mail each week and remind people "Hey, there's a game Wednesday. Be there." They've done so once but when you just send it once a year it doesn't have much effect.

Most importantly, win a few basketball games. Kansas is the only ranked team since I started in 07-08 to fall in Hilton Coliseum. Adults can't understand why Hoiberg doesn't have any pull with students. That's because this fall's freshman weren't even born yet when he was playing.
I'm guessing that a lot of students will be heading home Baylor weekend to see mommy and daddy since they will be heading out on a spring break trip in a couple weeks.

Either that or they'll be studying for "mid-terms" or "working on a paper"....I'm sure taking 2 hours out of your night to go support the basketball team would probably result in flunking out of school, need to keep our priorities straight.

I'm not arguing that football is a more appealing total package, I'm just saying that when you look at it as a straight time commitment these crys of homework and midterms ring a little untrue. Even in a week when we had two home games it's a 6-7 hour time commitment at most for the week. That is about the same amount of time I would guess most students spend tailgating and going to games on a football week. If students really wanted to be there, 10 minutes of planning your study time a little bit would make it work the majority of the time.
Uh, they hold VERY true. Does anybody have a midterm on a Saturday? No. Does anybody have a midterm at 8pm on a Wednesday? Yes. Grades > attending games.

Perhaps people just don't like going to basketball games as much. Perhaps, since there are so many games, they don't feel the need to go to all of them, unlike football when there are only 6.

Do people want to watch Oklahoma and Texas Tech? No.
Are there other things students can do with there time other than attending a basketball game? Yes.

There are many reasons why people don't show up. Quite frankly, I don't understand how you buy tickets and don't go to games, but I do understand that not everybody is as enthusiastic about basketball as I am.

You are probably right. My girlfriend is going home, but I guess she has a wedding shower to go to. At least I have my priorities straight.

However, I think it is still gonna be loud. I know i'm excited

??? My hand has never been marked. Also, I have been able to sneak in to a lot of the games without getting my card scanned. Some of the scanner people don't pay very close attention. I think the last game I got my card scanned before last night was Oklahoma State.
