Ejim's dunking
What is with Melvin always missing dunks? He blew a perfectly good alley-oop from Allen last night. It seems he has missed at least 5-6 dunks this year. Dude's a stud and has the hops I just don't get why he keeps missing so many dunks.

Re: Ejim's dunking
We haven't had a Rahshon Clark since Rahshon Clark!
Other then Sledge, we don't really have any guys that have "ups" except maybe McGee.

Re: Ejim's dunking
You talking about the one he was fouled on

Re: Ejim's dunking
McGee had a nice rebound dunk

Re: Ejim's dunking
I was not aware he always misses dunks.
5-6 misses in a year is not bad at all.

Re: Ejim's dunking
Probably didn't have anything to do with the foul that was called.

Re: Ejim's dunking
That's a tough play in traffic. I think he still gets a little tentative about going straight the rim, but he is getting better
I don't bring my own opinions, just attack others. -
Re: Ejim's dunking
I enjoy that we are complaining about dunks now. "Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will."
"And for the rest of college football, welcome to utter BCS chaos." -

Re: Ejim's dunking
I'm pretty sure getting shoved will cause you to miss dunks.

Re: Ejim's dunking
While he still misses way too many lay-ups and dunks, he has progressed very well over the course of this year. It still frustrates me how he always takes a dribble before going up for the lay-up/dunk. Its also very easy to forget that he is only a sophomore. It already seems like he's been here for a while.
I think he might be the most important player on the team, not best by any means, but most important. When he is on his game, flying to get rebounds and put-backs and hitting his shots we are a very tough team to stop. It makes me smile thinking that we have 2 more years with Ejim. -
Re: Ejim's dunking
Dunks or not Melvin has become my favorite player as the year has gone on. I could argue that he is the most important player on the floor for us - but I won't. He was a huge reason we put them away last night. The guy does alot of little things all over the floor that go unnoticed. I always forget that he's young too. Love the guy.
