In fact, if there's any team that might make a late bubble push, it's -- wait for it -- Iowa. The Hawkeyes' back-to-back wins over Indiana and Wisconsin (the latest of which came by one point Thursday) gave them a season sweep of the Badgers and four marquee wins overall (also beat Michigan). That's impressive in and of itself. Even so, Iowa will have to overcome a plus-120 RPI number (which isn't anywhere near tourney-worthy at this point) and a sub-300 nonconference schedule, one that included blowout losses to Campbell and Clemson. This profile looks remarkably like Colorado's did last year: awful nonconference schedule, bad nonconference losses, solid conference performance, big wins down the stretch. That Buffs team didn't make the tournament. In other words, this remains a long shot. But if the Hawkeyes win their last three regular-season games to finish 10-8 in the Big Ten, they've definitely got a shot. We'll see.
win 1 more = likely in ------ win 2 more = lock
They've beaten #21 Bama, #6 Mizzou, #3 Mizzou, and #10 Baylor. Their resume is better. Let's just go beat them again.
Kenpom has us as
27 percent against KSU
20 percent against Missouri
51 percent against Baylor
.73*.8*.49=.286 or a 28.6 percent chance of losing all three
Which means a 71.4 percent chance of winning at least one
So basically we will be playing next four games who have been locked into the NCAA already.
I prefer the draw Lundardi has for us vs. the one he has for K-state.
Losing the next four may not be that bad. I think we still get in around the 11 seed area. I would rather be an 11 seed than a 9 seed
Rite...........(we got jumped)
Why do you guys worry about Krap like this?
It makes NO difference as long as WE aka ISU get into the big dance every Fricking Year ...Thats the only way you will we will ever get the recognition that you guys crave.....
Question to Larry Eustacy from unidentified caller....How do you make MBB at ISU better nationally?.........
Larry's answer....By getting into the ncaa tournament every year, thats the only way that any basketball program ever gets better nationally....
And there you have it JUST GET INTO THE BIG DANCE BABY....
