So looking at the big 12 tourney

What kind of matchup are we looking for? I would really hate to play a first round game against ksu just because it's so hard to beat a good team 3 times in a season. It would be nice if we either play up into a 3 (possibly 2?) seed or Texas passes ksu and we play them in the 4/5 game. I think either of those are ideal for us.

Really there are two teams I want to avoid. 1.) ksu because it's really hard to beat a good team 3 times in a season and 2.) Baylor, because I think out of them, mizzou, and ku we match up with Baylor the worst.

Agree on not wanting to play KSU in the 1st game. Hoping we beat Baylor and get #3 seed and play probably Texas or OSU. Then would probably play Mizzou in 2nd game.

I'll take KSU the third time. After looking at their forums, I would love to see how they would react to a 3rd loss against ISU

Baylor by far because of matchups and hopefully we'll be coming off a win against them and don't see winning two in a row against them.

I'm fine with people saying ISU is a 9 seed in the dance for now, but the chance is there to move WAY up.

Honestly, even if we lose three straight I think whatever seed they would put us at today is the lowest seed we would get. I think we're playing with house money and can only improve our standing with the committee.

Okay after this 1st half maybe we would play KU in the 2nd game instead.

Really can't overstate how big this win was. We now get Texas and, should we win, Missouri in the semis, all while putting Baylor, ksu, and ku on the other side of the bracket. Great win by our clones.

Don't get me wrong I'd much rather play Texas over K State but the one negative is Texas will probably HAVE to win that game against us to have a shot of getting into the NCAA Tourney. They will be ready for that game hopefully our guys will be too.

Texas is no easy matchup, but I like it much better than K-State.

Well hopefully Texas wins tonight to take the pressure off (not likely). Either way, I just think that we match up better against Texas and we we don't have to beat ksu for a third time in a season, which is tough to do against a good team.
