RPI jump
We jumped to 31, that 14 spots with our win over KSU!
They only dropped 4 spots. College Basketball - Rankings - Rivals.com
That should help seeding, hope the team breaks the top 25. ROAD DOGZ!
I'm not trying to be difficult, it comes naturally.... -
Re: RPI jump
That's impressive. Just imagine what a good week this week might do for ISU. -
Re: RPI jump
Wow, that is great news! Let's just grab a few more wins and see how low we can go. -
Re: RPI jump
beat either Mizzou and Baylor it will be 25 and beat both then finish out around 20

Our SOS should be in the top 25 after our last 3-5 games. Hate to say "I told you so" but our fans here hating on our SOS early in the year were pretty blind.

Except for the fact that our non con SOS was very weak...we played two tournament teams non conference, that's not a challenging schedule at all.
-
Re: RPI jump
Also HFCS, our current SOS is 60. It won't go up all the way to the top 25.

If you end up with a SOS in the top-40, your non-conference schedule was strong enough. As it has been said many times, with playing in the Big 12, there is little benefit to having a non-conference schedule more difficult than this year's.

Oh I agree but it seemed like HFCS was trying to see our non con SOS was strong. It wasn't.

Re:RPI jump
Our non conference opponents went 8-2 and some teams ahead of us lost as well yesterday so that may have factored in.
-
Re: RPI jump
The more wins any of our non-conference opponents rack up the higher our RPI will climb too, 50% of the RPI formula is the opponents win percentage.

Re: RPI jump
Funny how the media wants to back up their rankings from the beginning of the season. They keep k state as high as possible and don't really want to rank us. Preseason ranking really do mean something, it means the media is behind you all year.
