I think the coaches poll is dumb. Do people really think they have enough time to watch other games to properly rank teams? Most of the coaches have their assistants fill them out anyway.

Assistants, or SID's - all of whom have incentive to make their conference look better.

Yeah I think they just need a poll that actually involves people inside the business, not just the media. I didn't expect us to be ranked anyways though.

thing is people inside the business (coaches) might be knowing other teams even less than the media does. I doubt FH knows any more about the Pac 10, than say, jerry palm

Correct, our previous high was 71 in week 14. At that time we received 10 in the Coaches Poll.

I agree. I'm not saying it's a perfect system, I just assume that is the reasoning behind it.

Yep, my buddy who was a grad assistant did it for his coach for 2 years. He was over at my place last year and I did it for him and called it in. So I had a vote last year as a coach...........

CBSsports has us at 24. And our little tidbit reads...

Nothing we didn't already know, except for I'm not sure any collapse will keep us out. Not sure losing to MU, BU, and KSU in the tourney could really be considered a collapse anyways.

Do you honestly think that if we beat a top 10 team on the road and top 15 team at home that we will still be under the radar??? Miles Simon already tweeted that ISU is his sleeper pick in the NCAA's.
