For the discussion directly at hand, I don't care if it's a CA arrangement or a GA arrangement. I think that CA is just a red herring for people to complain about, an easy target. I doubt there are many people at all sitting there saying "I won't go because Cyclone Alley exists. I'd rather stay home." I simply don't buy it.

Also, like I said before, it's a huge inconvenience to give/sell tickets to another student or person with Cyclone Alley. A lot of people who normally don't go to games don't even get that chance to be exposed to ISU basketball. That's a fair argument. And I'd like to see an easy way to do that.
The reason they went to ISU cards is because they thought it'd be easier for students. And it is. But you're right, other people can't go.

A lot of people who normally don't go to games don't even get that chance to be exposed to ISU basketball. It really doesn't sound that difficult for a tech-savvy generation. Stewo and I have figured it out before when I moved him tickets across the state. Another former poster and I figured it out.
I really don't believe it's that complicated. If people want to go, they'll figure it out. If they don't, they won't.
It's more true that students just aren't as excited about basketball, which is where the culture is right now. If they were, this wouldn't be a complaint.

If they go with the "wear any cardinal shirt" thing, don't have to worry about a shirt.

I think the non CA crowd is the crowd that needs to be chased. Make it easy for kids to get to the game and allow them to sit down low if they do decide to go. Please point out the non-CA students. It was included in the ticket.
The people sitting down low are the people waiting in line before the doors open, not some on-the-fence student.

Anyway, a GA section would not have this problem. Exactly. I graduated last spring, and instead of joining the Alumni Association (which throws its support behind Cyclone Alley, which I loathed having to be a part of during college), I joined the Gridiron Club and my donations to the athletic department have gone there, even though it only supports the football program.
Until there is another suitable GA option for students other than being relegated to the upper bowl, I couldn't see myself being a part of/giving to the Alumni Association.
