Smart money says he stays another year. Next year's team is deep and will allow him to showcase his abilities as much as, if not more than this years' team has. I think he comes back unless we go to the Final Four on his back this year.
Just me. I haven't read all the posts in this thread, but yours is the first one that's similar to my assessment.
Royce could certainly make the jump. His uniqueness would be a selling point. Doesn't hurt that he's a key contributor on a team that will get minimum one-game NCAA tournament exposure.
It appears another year makes sense, though:
* He's just enough under the radar, another year with even more attention, and his stock could skyrocket. (He would definitely be on preseason first-team Big 12, for starters)
* Another season to fine-tune various gifts, and improve some minor deficiencies (impact-scoring would be one.). With newcomers and returning players, supporting cast is going to provide even more leverage in both areas. If Luscious as true PG is special, it's like having a dual-PG.
Now, if ISU goes deeper into the tournament than anyone expects, his studliness cannot be ignored, he'd be smart to enter the draft —*if that did happen, Iowa State already benefited. Most of us would hope for another year, but wouldn't complain too much.

Re: Royce Thoughts/Stats
I think he will get much more national exposure with a stay next year. I could also see a reasonably high ranking, and ISU getting placed in the prime tv spots as stations will want to broadcast what will be a very good team with a very unique and exciting player.

Re: Royce Thoughts/Stats
Royce needs to stick around a year or two and work on his shooting. His game will not translate well to the NBA. Too many big athletic players. I've seen this year any team with an athletic front line pretty much silences Royce for the night. Love his game, attitude, IQ, etc...but for his own good I hope he chooses to stick around and round out his game a little better
