I don't want to get in a McDermott argument, but I find it really funny how Doug is unanimously voted POY for the conference, and the "coach" isn't mentioned. Being in Omaha and dealing with kNU football/CU basketball fans, this entertains me.

I still think birthing the potentially one of the greatest players in school history is way better than shouting. I am not even taking into account his coaching abilities either. I say his coaching and the shouting thing are a wash anyways.

Someone here pointed out to me that recruiting is part of coaching. Ergo conceiving is coaching as well. Given that McD also developed Doug as a player growing up then McD should coach of the Decade.
