would you rather
1. win big 12 tourney but bow out second round of NCAA

or

2. bow out in semis of big 12 and make to sweet 16

and none of those answers of win and 16...that is course object and my hopes and thoughts

I would say Sweet 16. Farther in the NCAA's the better.

However if we did win the B12 Tourney, no way we wouldn't at least get to the Sweet 16 with the way we would be playing.
