Just more great analysis from Doug. I am sure it had nothing to do with Doug taking some heat after pulling out all the stops to try and take any credit away from ISU after their win over Kansas right? It wouldn't have anything to do with Doug making negative predictions about ISU all season long which were proven wrong time and time again yet he won't admit his analysis was wrong would it?
The guy ran his mouth about ISU and now he just won't confess that he doesn't have the first clue what he was talking about when he was proven wrong. Analysts aren't always going to get it right but the good ones with some real credibility aren't afraid to admit that they were wrong. Doug has proven he is incapable. He is a joke. This is the part that cracks me up. As if he was chatting up his scout buddies about Royce. That's horse****. Lulz.

This is simply not true. All most fans want is an honest assessment. Do you think Doug gave ISU an honest assessment? Apparently a team can finish 3rd in the Big XII even though they can't play defense, can't win on the road against even the lower level teams in the conference, and they get easy wins over an awful Kansas team that is totally depleted of talent like only 1 other team in the Big XII managed to pull off.
K-State sure got a lot of love from Doug although they couldn't beat a talentless Kansas team and got swept by a team that can't play defense or win on the road.

Re: why is there a near religous fervor with Goatlibb?
Royce appeared to want Gottlieb to sit on what he heard rather than repeat it and further the stigma about mental illness. I don't think either of them did anything wrong in that back-and-forth. Honest discussion between two men.

Wrong. Gottlieb said that Royce was undersized for an NBA 4 in that exact same tweet. It's really ironic you are being inaccurate about Gottlieb while you're trying to pan him.

I've struggled with a mental illness, and if I were a GM, any pick with this particular illness would be downgraded. Simple as that.

I thought it was Doug's honest assessment. It may be flawed, of course. These guys are wrong all of the time and sometimes are correct with an opinion that isn't agreed to by fans. Part of the gig. Like I said, I'm not a fan of him but I don't think he's out to get ISU.
I assume he tries to rile up fanbases. Much like a C. Cowherd. Tweeting or emailing will only fuel the fire.

Just get Royce some 4 inch heels and he'll be perfect height.

Since you like to analyze my posts and opinions let's hear your opinions on the subject. You think Doug's analysis of ISU has been spot on I take it?

Re: why is there a near religous fervor with Goatlibb?
I don't think his analysis is spot on, but he makes valid points. I would agree that this team at times relies on the three too much. I would agree that interior defense has been a weakness of this team. I would agree that Royce has height issues for an NBA 4. I can see how Royce's anxiety issue could scare SOME teams away, especially since he's a borderline prospect as it is.
There have definitely been some of his predictions or comments about this team that have ended up being false, but that happens for every analyst on TV.
The fact of the matter is that ISU fans hate Gottlieb because he had and has criticisms of our team at a time when excitement is sky high.

Is our perimeter defense poor? No. So I guess his blanket statement that ISU is a poor defensive team isn't exactly accurate is it?
Did this ISU team prove they could win on the road both before and after his comment that they couldn't? Yes.
ISU fans dislike Gottlieb because he makes blanket statements that aren't entirely accurate, he makes specific statements that when proven false he will just focus on a different area to try and prove he was right rather then admitting he was wrong, etc... If you agree with him good for you. I don't.
