Re: ISU darkhorse in Big 12 tourney
They meant Mizzou would have to beat us in the semis, not the quarters.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

A #3 seed isn't much of a dark horse, but I suppose if they don't think anyone else can contend...
I would think that KSU would be the sexy pick, but based on the two regular season matchups they don't think they can play with KU.

I am far more concerned about the matchup with Texas then I am about a potential matchup with Mizzou in the Semis. If ISU can beat Texas I think they will beat Mizzou and the Clones will end up in the Championship game against Kansas.

I think everyone considers anyone who isn't KU or Mizzou to be a darkhorse.

Re: ISU darkhorse in Big 12 tourney
A team that has shown they can compete with the top dogs is not a darkhorse. He also has indiana as a darkhorse for the big ten. Whatever, beat Texa$.

Re: ISU darkhorse in Big 12 tourney
I would be pretty surprised to see Mizzou win three games in three days to take the tourney with their bench (or lack thereof)

Re: ISU darkhorse in Big 12 tourney
I wouldn't take this too personal. The reality is, who really cares?! Just another chip on the shoulder of a team that has gotten no respect all year long. We've been underdogs all year long. Why expect anything to change now? We've done well in the underdog role....so keep it comin'!

Being the underdog is not all bad. Winning means more.

I could be wrong, but it doesn't look to me like anyone is taking it personally. I agree, who really cares. It is just odd to pick #3 in a 10 team tournament as a "dark horse".

I view this as very positive - we are on a lot of people's radar. I wouldn't want to play us.

Re: ISU darkhorse in Big 12 tourney
Oh man I'm sure Iowa fans have to be outraged that they weren't picked as the darkhorse of the Big 10 tournament, you know, after winning out their last 5 games like they said they would. How dare they?
