Re: Another Example of Disrespect of This Team
no..disrespect would have been if they had forgotten to put us on the list at all. Why didnt they list us as I-State, stupid east coast bias

When the Big 12 comes up it displays teams in an interesting order.
Kansas
Missouri
Baylor
Kansas State
Iowa State
How do they come up with this order? Obviously Kansas and Missouri are #1 and #2, but in no way should we be displayed after Kansas State or Baylor. I can't believe there is still so much disrespect for the team that is a #3 seed in the Big 12 tournament. Better to be first or last in the order. This is a proven phenomenon called order bias that says that objects in the first position or last position of a list are more likely to be remembered. Therefore, ESPN did us a favor. Thanks ESPN!

There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves Orcs. ~ John Rogers -

I can't believe there is still so much disrespect for the team that is a #3 seed in the Big 12 tournament. Baylor also beat us and is ranked higher. I can see the KSU argument is it is true but Baylor earned their ranking early in the season and just doesn't have any bad losses to knock them down. Not saying we aren't better, just saying

Also, I saw where ESPN went to a commercial break before Iowa State popped up on the bottom scroll, BUT AFTER KU, MU, BU and KSU had appeared. Complete lack of respect.

They should be a higher seed than us, but not by much IMO. The only reason Baylor is in the top 15 is because they were put there early this year and didn't do anything to get out of it. Losing to Kansas and Missouri, ranked higher, is not going to put you out of the top 15.
1) We both have 12-6 conference records.
2) We beat Kansas. Baylor did not beat Kansas OR Missouri.
3) Baylor beat K-State once. We beat K-State twice.
4) Baylor beat ISU and ISU beat Baylor.
The only difference is that Baylor beat Miss. State earlier this year. Other than that, not a HUGE difference between us and Baylor resume wise except we lost to Drake and UNI in the way beginning of the season (which shouldn't count as much IMO).
I'm not saying we're top 15, but Baylor being almost top 10 and a 3 seed in bracketology is not accurate IMO. They haven't actually beaten that many good teams this year. Top 25 sure, but they are a little bit overrated. If I had my way, Baylor would be a 4 or 5 right now, and we'd be a 6 or 7.
