Non-important was too strong of a term but I'm not going to replace it.

Re: Not overly upset.
I just feel bad for all the ******* people who made the trek down there for us to lay another colossal Cyclone sized egg. God that's got to be frustrating, I feel terrible for them.

Re: Not overly upset.
Im ****** we lost but we gotta look at the whole picture here. First tourney for ISU since 2005!! We are on the up and up. I will be more ****** if the players dont use this as a learning experience and come out fired up in their NCAA first round game. Its time to get serious!!
Go State!!

Re: Not overly upset.
If we would have won I think that we would have been a 7 seed...
Maybe now we'll be a 10 seed. I just don't want an 8 or 9 and then see Kentucky or Syracuse in the 2nd round.

Re: Not overly upset.
Im ******. I thought ISU had a shot at winning the whole things, instead they play like the 10 seed.
I am never saw my wife so ****** after a loss either.

Re: Not overly upset.
I am not to upset either. this was a must win for Texas. ISU looked like they were still on Welch ave. Might be the best thing a little taste of reality the extra rest wont hurt either.

Re: Not overly upset.
There's two reasons why I'm not as upset as I could be, and both have to do with Bob Knight.
First, Bob Knight said that he never took the Big 10 or Big 12 tournament very seriously and hated them with a passion. If he knew his team was already a lock for the NCAA tourney, he said he really didn't mind losing in the first round of the conference tournament. He never told his guys that, but that's what he believed. He didn't want his guys playing a bunch of games back to back to back to back in order to win the conference tourney and then be worn out for the NCAA tourney.
And then he went on to say that the two best teams he's seen play this year are Kansas and Missouri. And he's seen North Carolina play several times by the way. He thinks the Big 10 is pretty deep, but he doesn't think the top teams in the Big 10 are very good at all. I think he believes the Big 12 might be the best conference this year from the way he was talking.

No need to be an apologist for the team. For this thread, you should be. GO STATE! I was a victim of a series of accidents, as are we all. -

Re: Not overly upset.
No reason to meltdown or be overly upset, but our opponents need look no further than our last two games against Texas to see how to beat us. We're a tourney team (obvs) but we are very beatable when our amazing long ball shooting isn't there. We're very mediocre defensively. I don't think this team needs to spend too much time on it or completely forget this game but Fred needs to spend a little time correcting the mistakes and mental lapses of this game. Do that in the tourney and we're done.

A person next to me said one year his scalper friend made $60k on the tournament scalping and the following year he lost $40k. He should do okay this year with KU and MO still around. The scalpers wanted $150 toinight, $250 tomorrow, and $350 for the final.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style.
