Things I Heard From Fans

First off let me say that I'm still proud of this team. Really rough last night, but like someone else said, it's not the last game. Let's bounce back in the tourney. Last night I got the privilege to sit in my dad's company suite. We were the only ISU fans with about 12 other Mizzou fans. Here are somethings I overheard or was asked:

-Why the hell is your center bringing the ball up? He's 7 feet tall.
-Hope you guys win so when you play Mizzou Flip can steal the ball about 30 times. Physics will make it easy for him to do that. (Because Flip had 30 steals the past 2 times we played them.)
-This Royce guy looks like a thug. Heard you got him from the penal system in Minnesota.
These were statements from people my dad didn't know and were douchebags the whole time we were there. There was some comments that were made from people my dad did work with.
-This place is packed. Hope you guys make a three and we see this place go crazy.
-You guys easily beat the Mizzou fans in attendance tonight.
-Royce is probably the best interior player in the conference
-You guys are a good enough team to reach the Sweet 16.

Don't know if these last comments were just to make me feel better or not, but still pretty cool to hear about the attendance. IMO it was louder at one point in the game than at any point in the MU game before. Time to bounce back guys! We can do it!

We need to take care of the ball a lot better than we did last night and play with a more sense of urgency if we are going to make a run in the big dance. It's win or go home time from here on out.

I love some of those first comments. Whenever someone is trying to downplay how good your best player is that means they are jealous. Who wouldn't want a 6-8 270lb post player that can handle the ball like Royce does? Other than the start of the game I was glad to see Royce finally be a little more selfish and take the game over a little himself. Need to see more of that out of him, will make defenses collapse and open up the perimeter more.

It was just the Tejas pep band. The other fans sat there quietly while Royce got the ball. I was really hoping for him to dunk over Chatman to get the full attention of the band.

Maybe we should chant airball or at least make a lot of noise every time he is at the line. I always hated shooting free throws in hgih school at home games because it got so dead quiet. Technical fouls were even worse.

I am so happy that these Jerk Offs mizzou/ school and fans are moving on.. I cant wait to wave good buy to these Jerks on their way outta the big 12, at a cost of 12 million dollars of course!!!!
