They are our two best guys when it comes to crashing the offensive glass, getting loose balls, and making hustle plays. Their presence was missed...a lot.
Not only that, it also messed up the whole rotation. This was the most frustrating thing. Some of Ejim's fouls were too ticky-tacky for my liking, and some were just bad calls. But McGee's fouls (especially in the first half) were just plain stupid. I'm worried about this for next year, when we will probably need more minutes from him. He plays good defense, but he has a tendency to make dumb fouls.
Its pretty telling that the best 3 minutes of the game were win we were getting Ejim involved. He is so important to this teams success. We can't afford for him to get in foul trouble. And because both of them were in foul trouble Bubu had to play too many minutes. I appreciate everything Bubu does, but when we are down and need to make a run, we don't really want him in the game.
Having said all that, it is a great sign that we still had a chance to win the game at the end.

- Babb is the best perimeter defender in the Big 12, one of them said rivals the best in the country.
- White is extremely articulate
- White is a guy who marches to the beat of his own drum.
- 7 degrees in Ames one time and Royce was wearing Cargo Pants and Flip Flops.
- Iowa State is the worst matchup of any team in the NCAA Tourney
- Iowa State could win gameS in the tourney (emphasis on the plural part of that) There were others but I can't remember them off the top of my head.
So amidst all this crap you guys are saying, remind yourselves this is a good team. My favorite was when Holly Rowe was breaking down the back-and-forth that Royce White had with Rick Barnes with about 8 seconds left in the first half:
RW: "He can't guard me coach"
Coach Barnes: "No one can!" -

I think this was one of the worst games we've played in the B12 (the other being Baylor in Waco), and we still had a chance to win. I think this team could still be very dangerous in the NCAA tournament.

I hated most of last nights game because it was so sloppy. A good first and second half run and a lot of TOs and rebounds allowed in between. Not to mention they made us look silly by getting by so many times. Baylor was that way for a while until Babb took shorty away. Until sometime this weekend I'll almost wish for irrelevance becuse a loss like this is so annoying, but I'll get over that. I really do hope, even more now then before TX, that the Clones can do something next week. I believe Fred will have them more prepared and eliminate the mess we all watched last night.
Nothing to see here mods. Keep moving. -
Re: Positive Comments from last night...
I actually thought teh announcers were halfway decent last night. Which is saying a lot, because I very rarely have anything good to say about an announcer not named John Walters

How many more years do you think ESPN will use the "transfer map" when talking ISU during the game? What I dont like about it is all the negativity that it insinuates.
