So I'm passing some time this afternoon checking out the Bracket Project Matrix, noticing that we are in 80/81 of the published projections. So I check and see which one is leaving us out and it's some blog called Big Underdog. Go to check it out and sure enough, we're out!

The most ridiculous part of it is that two days ago before the Texas game this same guy had us as a #6 seed. So...we lose one game on a neutral court to a likely tournament team and according to this guy we go all the way from a Top 24 seed to being completely out of it. Funniest thing is that we're not even in the Next Four Out or even the Next Six Out.

I'm not getting my panties all up in a bunch just because this one guy has us out, but I thought it was worth posting just so we could all point and laugh.

He dropped us at least 55 spots because of the loss to Texas. The smallest drop possible would have been from #24 to #79. Could have been more

Yeah, one would hope so, but even if it is just an honest mistake it's hard to take him seriously if he could just forget about a team that he gave a #6 seed two days ago.

Isn't it difficult to forget something that you either write out or type out? He could just look at what he already had and decide what changed/didn't change.

Maybe he's not real precise in his methodology, and he did just forget. Looks like he's either forgetful or sloppy, so a true professional is he.
