I kept hearing that Mizzou fans weren't happy about leaving, but everyone I talked to in KC was all for it, and clearly that's the case based on their SEC chant. I really thought that was classless.

That and dancing on the big 12 logo. Poor move for them academically, athletically, and way worse logistically. But when they start whining about it, we never have to let them back in.

It is very relaxing to realize that the SEC really doesnt want Missouri.... They just want a 14th team because they didn't like the way the schedule looked. Knowing Missouri was trying to whore themselves to any conference out there (B1G) to feel special they knew they could get #14....
.... It just makes me smile a little.... That and the fact that they are paying us to leave!

The funny part about that is he will never play in the SEC...not sure the point here. They won the tournament, not the conference...but apparently in their rush to go to the SEC they cannot tell the difference. What a bunch of morons.

The only thing that is good about them winning this year is its going to make it that much worse for them when theyre in the SEC and missing the environment that the KC tournament gave them.

I hate to see MU leave. I think it's as much about saving face, given their running after the Big 10, who didn't want them at all, as it is about their quest for "stability." They were close to home, had reasonable, some even fun, fans. Unlike the majority of my Cyclone brethren, I wish them well. They will have more success in the SEC than many here think. But no more than they have had in the Big XII. Unless the money is substantially more, it still looks like a lateral move at best to me. Except, they will become the furthest north, the 'bad weather' school of the SEC. Kinda like we are in the Big XII, now that nebby is gone.

So good luck, Mizzou. I wish you well. I feel sorry for the gut shot MU fans I talked to in K C. And I'm really gonna miss all those beautiful TV sets. Oh, and good luck getting the SEC tournament in K C. Maybe once every 20 years.

Okay, I know this is not a popular opinion, but I'm happy Mizzou won. Let's put our selves in their shoes. If, say, we got offered a Big 10 spot we would have taken it with pride. And say we won the Big 12 this year, we would have been chanting Big 10 just as they chant SEC. Given the times, I hold no ill will toward Missouri and honestly, I will stand with a Big 8 team over any damn Texas team that takes a shot at the title.
