Anyone think that Babb might be switched to Napier at times? Sounds like Napier is a turnover waiting to happen.

I don't think Scott is quick enough to stay with Napier, but there's no way he can guard Smith when he's in the game either.
I bet we see a little zone.

I'd like to see McGee get more minutes and take on Napier. McGee is certainly quick enough and crafty enough to create some turnovers, though he does seem to get into foul trouble now and then.

Agree. The (guard)lineup I would use to to play defense is quite different than the one I would use to play offense.

    Defense: Babb, McGee, Bubu
    Offense: Babb, Allen, Christopherson

We have yet to really play 40 minutes of good basketball. It seems like there is always a drought for a few minutes that we give up a 15-3 run which has been our Achilles heel. IF we put together 2 halves of good BBall then we CAN win this game, but UConn has so much more tourney experience than we do.
I'm thinking this game will be close down to the wire but I'm not sure we have enough killer instinct away from Hilton to beat a team like UConn. I HOPE I'M WRONG!!!

    UConn fan coming in peace.

It seems to me that the key here is to let White get his...I don't care if he does off for 20+ as long as he keeps his assists under 3.

We have a bad habit of leaving our assignments for help defense and doubling down low. If Drummond and AO can stay out of foul trouble and match up 1 on 1 against White I love our chances. If we start doubling down low, we are going to be giving up wide open 3's all day.

Drummond has the ability to guard White 1 on 1 IMO...

As always, getting our guys open, hitting shots, not turning it over, and limiting 2nd chance pts will put us in a great position to win. That's also a recipe to win just about any game.
All we have to do to win is the exact opposite of what we did against Texas.

The thing about White is that he doesn't look "to get his". He's always looking looking to dish first. He'll pound it inside when it's an easy opportunity for 2 points otherwise he's working it to get a shooter open.

Vegas says it's a pick-em. I think that's a good sign. Being the conspiracy theorist that I am ... maybe the powers that be don't want UConn to advance - given what's been going on inside their program.

    Regarding the actual game ...
    - Focus defensively for the entire shot clock if needed
    - Limit Turnovers
    - Rebound
    (Our shooters will be fine)

White can go for 30 for all I care as long as you guys make under 5 3's.

I doubt that, 5 maybe in the first half. ISU had 16 three's in a game this year, because the other team decided to double down on White.

And that is my fear. There is no reason that we should have to double down on him. In my obviously biased opinion, Drummond should be able to lock him down.

What I'm stressing is that even if Drummond can't play great defense on him, the rest of the 4 players on the court need to stay on their assignments.
