My post card from Tim Floyd
In 1995 i cut out an article from the Omaha Wierd Harold and sent it to Coach Floyd. People from Western Iowa would understand the frustration with Omaha Media. For the most part the article was talking about how after they beat Ia. State they would be in good shape for a tournament bid. I wrote a real short note with the article saying that it looks like they don't think it will be hard to beat you. My post card stated " Thanks for the info on Nebraska. We got Em! Kindest regards, Tim"
I just got to thinking, Did he read the article to the team? If so do you think Coach Hoiberg would remember it? Oh by the way TF's hand writting is not real good.

yes, in fact, legend has it, he has the words written in your postcard, tattooed on his back. He uses it as a source of power.

Why don't you email Jamie Pollard and see if he will ask Fred?

Re: My post card from Tim Floyd
Crazy thing is that I've heard about this legendary postcard. Only not from Tim but from Larry. I guess it made such a giant impact on Coach Floyd that he passed it on to Larry. I guess Tim didn't need it much anymore since he had it permanently etched into his skin by this time. Larry had a spare room with a shrine dedicated strictly to the postcard. I believe it has been missing for a few years now. Some say the Germans have it, others say it is in a crate in a warehouse next to the Arc of the Covenent.
I never knew a member form CF wrote it.
"Bring it all to the table. Don't hold nothin' back," he said. "I want you. I want the ball. I want your head. I throw my body into 'em and hit them." - #23 Leonard Johnson -
Re: My post card from Tim Floyd
In 1981, I sent a postcard to President Reagan detailing the threat posed by the Soviet Union. In December of '91, it disintegrated.

Re: My post card from Tim Floyd
Someone should hire an article to be written about how Iowa State will never complete the SEZ project, then send a copy of the article to JP. -

Re: My post card from Tim Floyd
Cool story by the way. I wrote a letter to Jamie Pollard and got a very nice one back. It's always cool when people who are so busy take the time to respond.

I'd definitely hold onto a memento like that. With any luck, you could add to your collection with one from Coach Hoiberg, too!

Re: My post card from Tim Floyd
That reminds me of the note I wrote to Jamie Pollard in like 2006..except he wrote me a passive aggressive letter back making me believe he's actually a bit of an *******. It's fine though, he's redeemed himself with two quality coaching hires.

Because I would be a bit passive-agressive if you sent me that letter.
