Reffing Tonight (During the game)

I think they actually seemed more willing to call the smaller touch fouls as opposed to the harder contact fouls around the hoop. I don't know if that's good or bad, but that's what it seemed like to me.

Not the worst game for the refs. But I can't remember a time where the game to game inconsistency was at this level. Its **** poor officiating across the board in CBB right now. Possibly a leadership problem in the CBB reffing world?

I just didn't like the late whistles. That 3 pt foul was so late that we had the rebound before the whistle blew.

I liked the no call when Royce took a charge. It takes a lot of contact to get him on the floor. Also takes a lot to get a big guy like him up too, apparently.

Totally. At one point in the 2nd half, they'd shot 19 FTs to our 3. The formula seemed to be: anytime Iowa State player and UConn player even remotely touch = foul on ISU.

Refs were bad, we could not buy a foul for the first 35 minutes.

Seemed like every time UCONN drove to the hoop it was a foul. ISU no call. However, the Cyclones fought through it and that is all that matters.

THIS! And it's not like it's a new thing or something we didn't expect! We had to be that much better and we were! Great game men! Shock the world on Saturday!

Also, I noticed all day that the refs were letting teams play for stretches and then would call touch fouls at other times. Like someone said, some inconsistency.

That's a huge mistake. Letting it rest in the media means you just gave the officials in the Kentucky game the free pass to hose you.

The officiating in this game for most of the middle of it was just atrocious. They tried to get them back in the game. 19 to 3

You expose that every time it happens.
