Re: Reffing Tonight (During the game)
refs will like UK even more

Re: Reffing Tonight (During the game)
Not the worst I've seen. They called a lot on us, but let a lot go too. Started calling more on UCONN even before they started fouling intentionally.

I just wish the refs didn't bring attention to themselves. The lane violation by chris allen was terrible. He wanted to be seen. Please have him explain this call?

Lane violation on Allen was of the same nature as the Syracuse lane violation. Allen crossed the free throw line before the ball hit the rim.

It was the correct call. It's been talked about ad naseum since the Syracuse game. People complained after that game that it's never called, guess we know that's not true.

Re: Reffing Tonight (During the game)
It sucked. But ISU did what it took to win the game.
Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice? Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this. -
Re: Reffing Tonight (During the game)
For a huge chunk of the game, especially from about the 15 minute mark to about 5 minutes in the second half, I felt like they were going to call a foul no matter what, if UCONN missed a shot. That foul on Babb on Lamb's three pointer was a total joke. Babb didn't touch him. Lamb's body was distorted because he knew it was off and he was trying to coax it in.

Still seemed one sided on allowing contact. That ticks me off more than anything.

Overall I don't think the refs were too bad. "Mediocre" is the word that comes to mind. Missed quite a few calls, but nothing really egregious jumped out at me.
