ISU Player to be on Cowherd (Gottlieb) soon
Gottlieb is in today for Colin. Just teased ISU's biggest star is going to be joining the show after the commercial break. I assume it will be Royce.

Royce on ESPN Radio Now
On the Cowherd show with Gottlieb hosting. Will Dougie admit to eating crow? We'll see.

His entire year was about how the Big 12 was bad and overrated. Ended the season with the National Champion, 5-1 bowl record, 6-0 bowl record against the spread.
That level of stupid makes Gottlieb look like a genius for criticizing ISU.

Re: Royce on ESPN Radio Now
What does Gottlieb have to eat crow for? He was one of the few talking heads who gave us a chance against UCONN.

Re: Royce on ESPN Radio Now
talkin about how he didnt fly with the team..he ended up riding with a family member. how will he handle the NBA travel?

Argh! ESPN radio in Madison switched over to game coverage for today's games. Anyone have Gottlieb where they're at?? Summary please - TIA!

Re: Royce on ESPN Radio Now
Good talk between Royce and Doug. Royce talked about driving out to Louisville. Doug had some nice things to say about ISU, the season and what Hoiberg has done. Pointed out great qualities in Royce since Minny too.

Royce is well spoken. He is a humble guy and is very polite. Nice guy that opens up about his anxiety as well...strong individual. I am glad he is at a place like ISU...it is such a wonderful University, has a great community...perfect for a guy like Royce.

Not just Royce, but it seems like everybody on the team is well-spoken and polite when it comes to interviews, at least based on the post-game interviews with the radio guys. And they all seem to be smiling in their pictures. Guys having fun - good stuff!

Re: Royce on ESPN Radio Now
DG: What was it like to finally get on the court given your individual circumstances. Royce: Dream come true … special to get the W DG: How big that it was UConn? RW: It was huge. Everyone knows them. But needed to put it out of our minds. I respect them and coach Calhoun. Great team and a great coach. DG: Anxiety order … How do you handle it. Tell me about the drive to Louisville. What was your favorite part? RW: Driving … coach didn't want me to at first. But having my grandpa helped. It helped me be relaxed and it helped with my game. I Like to see the stars when in the rural areas … it's much darker and you can find the various constellations easier. I enjoy that. DG: On playing Kentucky … RW: The program speaks for itself … One of the best teams and coaches overall in the country. But our coach does a great job finding weaknesses in the best teams for the biggest games. DG: Who's bigger you or the Mayor? RW: I played well, the team played well, but we credit our coach.
Way to go Royce … such an excellent voice for my alma mater and the basketball team. He will be successful regardless of what he chooses to do.
Friday confession: not getting a lot of work done today.
